Business Telephone Systems

Support Enquiry

For most businesses today the answer to this question will be voice, fax and e-mail.  The use of call centres and the proliferation of mobile phone use has ensured that voice is still the most popular form of communication .  But recently there has been an explosion in the use of Internet and e-mail, and with e-commerce set to take the business world by storm, it is likely to increase.

With these three highly sophisticated communications media available, you need to ensure that you can talk to your customers and suppliers through whichever is most appropriate. In order to manage this high and increasing throughput of communication your choice of telephone system has never been more important.

Callmaster Voice over IP Package (VoIP)

Using the latest protocols and software available, Callmaster have designed a telephone network that can be operated through an existing or dedicated data network.

There are a number of ways of using our service but in each case the principle is the same.

Any telephone or fax device can be logged into our telephony server from any broadband or leased line data connection at any office in the UK or even the rest of the world. Calls can then be made in exactly the same way as normal, with no apparent difference in the quality. The critical difference between this and a conventional telephone call is that because it has been placed via our telephony server over the internet, there is no line rental . more.....

Manufacturer Portfolio

As a company focused on the needs of the Small to Medium Sized Business sector we at Callmaster have chosen 3 manufacturers who we feel best represent quality and reliability in the provision of fixed line telephony services.

Panasonic have long had the largest share in the UK for the small/medium PBX’s and the recent award of “best buy” from the What to Buy for Business magazine in 2003 for the recently launched KXTDA system, it’s clear that they have managed to maintain their reputation as the first choice for feature rich easy to use systems.

Callmaster has had a long relationship with Panasonic and as one of their premier dealers we have close ties with the organization. On a technical level we employ technical staff previously employed by Panasonic, and have fostered good relations with all members of the current technical team. Also we participate each year in a consultation exercise with the R&D team from Japan.

Avaya is a company that evolved out of US company Lucent Technologies, and they are our choice as the alternative to Panasonic in our portfolio. Through acquisition in the UK they have brought together 3 highly successful voice and data systems; the Definity, the INDEX, and the IP Office, each addressing different sizes of enterprise. In doing this they have brought the kinds of high technology features historically the preserve of large corporate orgsanisations down to the level of the smallest system user. For this reason we tend to recommend the Avaya range where the requirement is technologically sophisticated particularly in the area of Computer Telephony Integration and Call Centers.

Callmaster is a Gold Accredited Partner for the sale and support of the IP Office range having met all of the engineering and sales resource criteria for this level. Our Avaya support is second to none with all of our clients systems instantly accessible for programming changes and fault diagnosis. Our Avaya engineers are also highly competent data networking engineers which is a necessary prerequisite for a system based on networking protocols.

ISDN

Voicemail

Using a broadband ISDN30 connection you can integrate all digital and analogue voice data and fax communication on the same set of channels (or lines as they used to be called ). This will give you; high bandwidth ISDN to the desk for data applications; the ability to transfer calls to other fixed or mobile numbers; and the ability to see who’s calling you with Calling Line Identity (particularly useful if you have your phone linked to a database).

ISDN also offers two important cost savings. First of all you only have to worry about a single connection with the outside world which makes maintenance and administration much easier, but also you can rationalise the total number of lines for which you have to pay rental because despite the number of devices you have on your system and whether they are used for outgoing or incoming communication, you only need to concern yourself with the number of devices that are likely to use the network at the same time. In other words you don’t need to have lots of separate lines for faxes, modems etc.

PC Integration and Unified Messaging

If people in your company spend the majority of their time on the phone (for example in a call centre environment) you may like to consider turning your desktop PC or laptop into a phone. We can supply a PC card that fits simply into the ISA slot (internal) serial or USB (external) port on a PC with a headset connection. All of the things you can do with a fully featured office phone can be done on screen. Also if you are using e-mail the chances are that you will be using Microsoft’s Outlook software to manage your contacts and messages. Now with a PC phone you can access and use all of your contact information including voice fax and e-mail from the same place

Something which can improve the efficiency of any organisation is a voice processing system which will do anything from simply recording messages into an individual mailbox, to acting as the central distribution point for all calls to your offices, with calls being routed to different departments, or sources of further recorded information. You can even automate the processing of orders.
The voicemail systems that we use are all very well integrated with the telephone systems we supply, so you will find them very easy to use with many of the common functions being automated by the pressing of a single button. For example if you would like to record the details of a particular conversation, you can simply press a button and the recording will begin.

If you have a telephone system not supplied by us, our sales staff will be able to advise on what level of integration is possible with your particular system.
